产品主要由电信号自动检测、微处理控制电路，交流控制电路等组成。自动检测电路会适时的监视电焊机的工作状态，根据电焊机的工作状态，节电器将及时地自动切换电源；当要焊接时，只需按正常焊接操作，焊条和焊件短接一下（如像操作工人习惯焊接前刨一下引弧），微处理器在20ms内输出接通电源指令，使焊机进入正常工作状态。当电焊机连续工作时微处理器将输出连续供电指令，使电焊机保持连续工作电压；当停止焊接时，监视电路将把数据送到微处理器通过运算后输出停止供电指令，节电器将适时断开工作电源。从而实现智能化、人性化节约用电的目的。
